Appointment News from Conficap’s Real Estate Team

There have been new appointments in Conficap’s Real Estate team, as Kira Kemppainen advances to the role of Business Controller and Jani Pulkkinen becomes the Head of Real Estate Business.

“As a family-owned company, we are a long-term and ambitious operator. At the same time, we want to ensure that people also have the opportunity to grow. It is wonderful to see how career paths progress and how ambition is reflected in everyday work. That’s why it is especially great to proudly present these new appointments,” says Conficap’s Managing Director Erik Toivanen, who also is also responsible for leading the Real Estate business.

Kira Kemppainen has been appointed as Business Controller for Conficap’s Real Estate business. In her new role, Kira will work closely with business management, support strategic decision-making with data-driven analyses, and play a key role in preparing and evaluating real estate transactions.

“My previous work focused more on individual properties, whereas this role emphasizes a portfolio-level analytical perspective. We have a strong and skilled team in real estate, and now I get to take on a new kind of role,” Kira says.

Kira has worked at the company for over 15 years. In an agile and flexible organization, I get to participate in a variety of tasks—including those that may not directly belong to my own job description.

According to Kira, the Real Estate sector is showing signs of recovery, with the clearest improvement visible in Helsinki and other growth centers.

“I hope the recovery in the sector continues next year, and hopefully this will also be reflected in the transaction side. At the same time, remote work culture has, at least to some extent, come to stay, which means a challenging market for office spaces,” she adds.

Jani Pulkkinen has been appointed as Head of Real Estate Business. In his new position, he will act as the supervisor of the real estate team and be responsible for construction management. He will also participate in the strategic development of the real estate business, making decisions that promote business growth and profitability.

“No two days are the same in my job. I appreciate that I constantly get to learn new things and develop my skills. A great work community and nice colleagues are also the best things about Conficap,” Jani says.

According to Jani, the Real Estate sector is moving from post-recession uncertainty towards moderate recovery. For investors and other industry players, this may bring attractive opportunities.

“Falling interest rates and improved liquidity have created more favorable conditions for the recovery of the real estate market, but this will happen slowly. The investment market is still quiet, but for 2026 I expect increased activity in both the transaction and rental markets,” he says.

Conficap’s Real Estate business consists of property holdings in prime locations in Finland’s growth centers, as well as shares in joint investments. There is a total of over 100,000 m² of office and warehouse space for rent in the Helsinki metropolitan area and Turku.

Warm congratulations to Kira and Jani!
