Wave energy company AW-Energy becomes a tenant of Conficap in Tikkurila
Conficap Oy and the Finnish wave energy company AW-Energy Oy have entered into a lease agreement for business premises located in Tikkurila, Vantaa. Under the agreement, AW-Energy will have access to 1,200 square meters of storage and logistics space at Tikkurilantie 10.
The premises leased to AW-Energy are suitable for versatile innovation and product development use. 700 m² of the space is reserved for the company’s renewed testing facility, and the leased space includes office and conference space as well as a two-storey maintenance level. The property also has excellent transport connections to the port, airport, Ring I and Ring III and in the direction of Lahti.
AW-Energy is developing green wave energy technology for the global market. “We are very interested in the way AW-Energy uses and develops green technology. This is also a great opportunity for Conficap to support the development of more sustainable energy. The thermal energy of AW-Energy’s operation will be used to heat our site and buildings, so together we can harness the waste heat as well. This will enable us to get closer to our energy efficiency objective,” says Petteri Puumalainen, Property Manager at Conficap.
The business premises leased to AW-Energy are part of Rautakesko’s former headquarters, which was acquired by Conficap in 2018. The total leasable area of the property is 30,000 m².
